New Substation in Ahausen Supports Solar Park and Advanced Grid Technology
The new substation in Ahausen, developed by ENERPARC, WT Energiesysteme, and Siemens, will integrate 64 MW of solar power into the grid. This project enables the supply of clean energy to approximately 18,000 households and enhances local infrastructure for renewable energy.

The newly operational substation in Ahausen is a collaboration between ENERPARC, WT Energiesysteme, Siemens, and the local municipality, facilitating the integration of power from an adjacent 64 MW solar park into the public grid. WT Energiesysteme managed the planning and construction, while ENERPARC oversaw financing and will operate both the substation and solar park.
The substation features a modern switchgear designed for up to 40 kV, utilizing 'Clean Air' as an insulating medium. This project not only supports renewable energy generation but also demonstrates the effective integration of innovative technology and infrastructure, which could serve as a model for similar initiatives. The involvement of local authorities and the grid operator Avacon has contributed to the project's swift execution.
