New Wind Farm Proposal in Nairnshire by Qair Energy
Qair Energy is proposing the Dulsie Wood Wind Farm in Nairnshire, featuring up to nine turbines and a capacity exceeding 50MW. The project aims to enhance renewable energy infrastructure while addressing community concerns about environmental impacts.

Qair Energy has proposed the Dulsie Wood Wind Farm, located approximately 12km southeast of Nairn, with plans for up to nine turbines reaching 200m in height. The project, covering around 300 hectares, aims for a generating capacity exceeding 50MW and includes a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
A scoping report has been submitted to the Scottish Government's Energy Consent Unit, noting potential significant landscape and ecological impacts. Community concerns have arisen regarding the increasing number of renewable projects in the Highlands, as well as the lack of resident engagement in planning discussions. The proposal is still in the early stages, with ongoing survey work expected to refine project details.
