Newtrace Secures $6.3M to Scale Voltagen Electrodes for Green Hydrogen Production
Newtrace has raised ₹56.93 crore ($6.3 million) in its Pre-Series A funding round to develop Voltagen electrodes, aiming to reduce green hydrogen costs. The funding, led by HDFC Bank and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, will support pilot manufacturing and engineering expansions. Newtrace plans to start initial commercial deliveries within 12 months. The startup addresses high production costs of green hydrogen, which currently costs $4 to $10 per kilogram, by improving electrolyzer efficiency and reducing reliance on imported components.
