NexMetals Confirms Selkirk Copper and Nickel Concentrates Meet Smelter Specifications
NexMetals Mining Corp. reports that final assays from its Selkirk Mine confirm the production of copper and nickel concentrates that meet commercial smelter specifications. This development may facilitate a low-capital restart of the project, enhancing marketability and reducing environmental impacts.

Final analytical results from NexMetals Mining at the Selkirk Mine confirm that both copper and nickel concentrates align with commercial smelter specifications, offering a viable pathway for sales. The concentrates exhibit low levels of deleterious elements, crucial for market acceptance, and support a potential capital-efficient restart without the need for on-site smelting facilities.
The metallurgical testwork, conducted by Blue Coast Research, demonstrated effective processing using a conventional flotation flowsheet, achieving strong recoveries and target grades. Approximately 700 kg of drill core was analyzed, yielding an average feed grade of 0.26% Cu and 0.24% Ni.
These findings position Selkirk as a valuable asset within the NexMetals portfolio, with an updated Mineral Resource Estimate expected in Q2 2026. The project's clean concentrate profile may also contribute to reduced environmental impact compared to previous operations.
