Nexus Core Systems Advances $1.2 Billion Data Center Project in Morocco
Morocco's ambition to become a leading African tech hub by 2030 is bolstered by Nexus Core Systems' data center project. The $1.2 billion facility will be located in Nouaceur, near Casablanca, leveraging strategic geographical advantages.

Nexus Core Systems is moving forward with a $1.2 billion data center project in Nouaceur, Morocco, aimed for a 500 MW capacity powered entirely by renewable energy. The facility is strategically positioned 15 km from Europe and connected to multiple high-speed international fiber optic cables.
An international consortium, including Nvidia and Naver Cloud, supports the initiative. Following delays, the first phase of 40 MW is expected to launch in Q1 2026. Additionally, the Casablanca-Settat region has allocated 666 hectares for industrial projects, enhancing the area's appeal for tech investments. This project, part of Morocco Digital 2030, reflects significant investment in AI infrastructure.
