NHN, Waflat, and Marknova Sign MOU to Develop AI Smart Home Care Service
NHN, Waflat, and Marknova have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to build an AI-based smart home care service aimed at addressing the caregiver shortage in an aging society. The agreement was finalized on November 29 at NHN's headquarters in Pangyo, South Korea.
The collaboration will combine NHN’s AI infrastructure, Waflat’s integrated care platform, and Marknova’s care device expertise. NHN will support the project with its experience in AI data centers and technology from the government’s AI Foundation Model project.
This initiative aligns with the government's AI Smart Home Care policy, focusing on enhancing independent living through smart technologies. Waflat's AI Life Support Specialist service is currently operational in 23 local governments, with plans to expand to 40 by next year.
