NHSG and Metatek have formed a partnership to improve exploration techniques for natural hydrogen. The collaboration is based on NHSG's expertise in gas phase generation from ultramafic rocks and Metatek's subsurface imaging technologies.

This initiative stems from joint studies since 2022, which have enhanced understanding of high potential hydrogen source rocks. The partnership aims to develop integrated geological-geophysical workflows to identify exploration targets across various geotectonic settings. The collaboration includes a recent project in the United Arab Emirates for RAK GAS, demonstrating their global track record.
