Niagara Falls Mayor Opposes $1.5 Billion Data Center Proposal by Milstein Brothers
DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE
Niagara Falls Redevelopment LLC proposed a $1.5 billion data center campus on 53 acres in Niagara Falls, featuring nine buildings and an electrical substation. The project would generate $414 million in tax revenue over 20 years and create 550 permanent jobs.
The mayor, Robert Restaino, opposes the project in favor of a 7,000-seat arena, which lacks financing and feasibility. The data center would provide $20 million annually in taxes, whereas the arena could cost the city $17 million annually.
