Niagara Falls Redevelopment Faces Community Skepticism Amid Support for New Projects
Niagara Falls Redevelopment (NFR) has spent over $116 million on land acquisitions but faces skepticism regarding its development plans. A proposed $1.5 billion data center is part of ongoing discussions amid legal disputes with the city.

Niagara Falls Redevelopment (NFR) has invested over $116 million in land acquisitions while contributing nearly $11.6 million in taxes. The company, facing skepticism from residents about its development capabilities, maintains that it has positively impacted the community through charitable donations exceeding $1.4 million.
NFR is currently involved in confidential mediation regarding its proposal for a $1.5 billion data center, the Niagara Digital Campus, in partnership with Urbacon. This initiative is discussed alongside Mayor Robert Restaino's $210 million Centennial Park arena project, which some view as a potential coexisting solution. The outcome of these discussions could significantly influence the future of redevelopment in Niagara Falls.
