Nickel Industries Secures RKAB Approval for Increased Nickel Ore Sales in Indonesia
Nickel Industries' shares rose after receiving RKAB approval for 2026 nickel ore sales in Indonesia. The Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources granted the approval to Hengjaya Mine, allowing sales to increase from 9.0 million wmt to 14.3 million wmt, with 8.3 million wmt designated for the Excelsior Nickel Cobalt HPAL project. This follows a five-year environmental impact study approval by the Indonesian government in late 2025.

Nickel Industries' shares increased after the company received approval for its Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Biaya (RKAB) for 2026 nickel ore sales in Indonesia. The Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources granted the approval to Hengjaya Mine, increasing sales from 9.0 million wet metric tonnes (wmt) to 14.3 million wmt.
Of this, 8.3 million wmt will fulfill the limonite ore demand for 2026, supporting the Excelsior Nickel Cobalt HPAL project. This approval follows the completion of a five-year environmental impact study by the Indonesian government in late 2025.
