Nidhogg Resources Joins Luleå University in Swedish Energy Agency Rare Earth Elements Project

STRATEGIC MINERALS

Nidhogg Resources Holding AB is included as an industrial partner in a project application led by Luleå University of Technology for the Swedish Energy Agency’s program related to sustainable extraction of rare earth elements (REE). The project, MAP-BIO-MINE, aims to establish environmentally adapted extraction methods using biotechnology and digital models.

Funding from the Swedish Energy Agency is anticipated in Q2 2026. If approved, Nidhogg will conduct geological mapping and sampling in the Vintjärn and Sellnäs fields, where elevated levels of cerium, lanthanum, neodymium, and zircon have been identified. Historical analyses indicate REE concentrations of up to 1%, making these areas suitable for exploration and process development.
