Nigeria's CNG and EV Initiative to Create Jobs and Attract Investments
President Bola Tinubu's Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicle initiative is projected to create thousands of jobs and attract significant investments in Nigeria's transport sector. This program aligns with global sustainability goals and represents a strategic shift towards cleaner transportation methods.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) supports President Bola Tinubu's Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Electric Vehicle (EV) initiative, projecting it will generate substantial employment and investment. The initiative is linked to the emergence of assembly plants for EVs and CNG vehicles, alongside manufacturers of CNG cylinders and conversion kits, which are creating new job opportunities.
Additionally, major infrastructure projects like the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway will enhance transportation safety and efficiency. The FRSC emphasizes collective responsibility for road safety and aims to reduce road crashes by 50% before 2030 through collaboration.
