Ningbo Launches Compact Green Hydrogen Production Project in 14-Square-Meter Module
Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, has launched a compact green hydrogen production project that integrates hydrogen production, storage, and fuel cell technology into a 14-square-meter module. This innovative system boasts over 98% energy conversion efficiency and aims to reduce costs while advancing the industrialization of green hydrogen, addressing the region's reliance on fossil fuels. The initiative builds on previous hydrogen energy projects by State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power, which focus on renewable energy integration.

On January 16, a project for the 'Key Technologies of Compact Renewable Energy Combined Heat and Hydrogen Production System Module' commenced in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. It condenses hydrogen production, storage, and fuel cell equipment into a 14-square-meter container, enhancing efficiency and safety.
This innovation reduces costs and advances green hydrogen manufacturing towards industrialization. Zhejiang, a major energy-consuming province, is exploring green hydrogen to address high fossil fuel dependency.
State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has previously launched four hydrogen energy projects that integrate renewable sources. The new system achieves over 98% energy conversion efficiency and implements advanced safety measures against hydrogen leaks.
