NITDA and IDCA Forge Partnership for Nigeria's Digital Economy Transformation
NITDA and IDCA have signed a partnership agreement to develop Nigeria's digital ecosystem through a three-year program. This initiative aims to enhance Nigeria's competitiveness in the global digital economy by establishing the Nigeria Digital Triangle (NDT) and integrating key infrastructures, standards, and workforce development.
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the International Data Center Authority (IDCA) have initiated a strategic partnership to enhance Nigeria's digital economy through a large-scale infrastructure program, set to be implemented over three years. Central to this initiative is the Nigeria Digital Triangle (NDT), which will consist of hyperscale, AI-enabled data centers designed to host global workloads and investments.
The program will focus on four pillars: a comprehensive digital economy masterplan, development of interconnected digital hubs, adoption of global standards, and workforce development. This collaboration aims to mobilize public and private capital, fostering long-term economic value and positioning Nigeria as a competitive player in the global digital landscape.
