nLighten Connects Stuttgart Data Center to Local District Heating Network
nLighten has partnered with Wärmelösungen Synergiepark Stuttgart to connect its data center to Stuttgart's district heating network. The project will begin supplying approximately 1.8MW of excess heat later this year, with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. This initiative aims to promote sustainable energy solutions and decarbonize the city's heat supply.

nLighten will supply excess heat from its Stuttgart data center to the local district heating network, in collaboration with Wärmelösungen Synergiepark Stuttgart. The project is set to deliver around 1.8MW of heat and is expected to start later this year.
Funding is provided by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. The system will utilize the data center's closed-loop water systems to capture and transfer heat. This agreement marks nLighten's second heat reuse initiative in Germany, following a similar project in Eschborn in March 2023.
