The city has met all its assigned targets, establishing itself as a tech hub with nearly 1,100 5G stations and a strong focus on digital infrastructure. However, challenges such as fragmented data connections and the need for cohesive tech infrastructure remain, prompting city leaders to prioritize these issues for effective digital transformation.

By 2026, Đà Nẵng aims to utilize science and technology as a critical pathway for development, guided by Resolution 57. In 2025, Đà Nẵng made significant progress, improving 130 places in the global startup city ranking to reach 766, and achieving a 91% outdoor 5G coverage.
The integration of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation is seen as essential for the city’s new administrative model. The city has completed 100% of its assigned targets, establishing itself as a tech hub.
Major advancements in digital infrastructure are underway, with nearly 1,100 5G stations and large-scale data center projects. A digital literacy initiative has also resulted in over 96% of administrative procedures being handled online.
However, challenges remain, such as fragmented data connections and a need for more cohesive tech infrastructure. The city’s leadership emphasizes the importance of addressing these issues to ensure effective digital transformation.
