Noida Airport Power Upgrades: Dual Substations and Future Capacity Plans
Noida's power department is implementing dual substations to ensure reliable electricity supply for Noida International Airport. By 2027, power capacity is set to increase from 6 MVA to 93 MVA to meet projected growth and future demand.

The Noida power department has established a dual substation arrangement to secure continuous electricity supply for Noida International Airport, targeting a power capacity increase to 93 MVA by 2027. Currently, the airport receives 6 MVA through substations in sectors 18 and 32, which will be upgraded to two dedicated 220 kV substations.
A Quick Response Team (QRT) has been formed for rapid response to power issues, and plans for a 400 kV substation by Tata Power Company Limited are underway to address future demands. The anticipated overall power demand for the airport is around 95 MW by 2030, with a planned supply of 93 MW.
