Nokia Partners with Constl for Nationwide DWDM Network Deployment in India
Nokia has partnered with Constl to deploy a Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) optical transport network across India, starting in Mumbai and expanding nationwide. Utilizing Nokia's 1830 Photonic Service Switch platforms, the network aims to enhance digital infrastructure to meet increasing bandwidth demands from cloud computing and AI workloads. This initiative will provide scalable, low-latency connectivity essential for mission-critical applications, supporting India's digital transformation.

Nokia has secured a contract with Constl, a subsidiary of Space World Group, to implement a Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) optical transport network across India. This initiative will begin in Mumbai, extending nationwide to enhance digital service infrastructure.
Nokia will provide high-capacity metro and data center interconnectivity using its 1830 Photonic Service Switch (PSS) platforms. The network aims to meet the rising bandwidth demands from cloud computing, AI workloads, and OTT services.
Although financial details were not disclosed, this partnership is expected to deliver scalable, low-latency connectivity essential for mission-critical applications and to support India's digital transformation. Constl plans to offer high-capacity services across major corridors, including Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Delhi, through its national long-distance network.
