Nokia's Stock Surge Linked to Strategic Acquisitions and AI Growth
Nokia's recent stock performance is attributed to its strategic acquisitions, particularly in optical networks and AI. The company’s focus on data centers is expected to drive continued growth.

Nokia's stock has seen significant growth, primarily driven by its optical networks business, which benefits from the AI and data center boom. The company acquired Alcatel-Lucent in 2015 for €15.6 billion, the largest deal in Finnish economic history, to enhance its capabilities in optical technology and data center interconnect solutions.
Risto Siilasmaa, former chairman, emphasized that the AI revolution was a consideration during the Alcatel-Lucent acquisition. Furthermore, Nokia solidified its position in the optical network market with the acquisition of Infinera last year. The continued demand for data centers suggests that Nokia's strategic investments may yield sustained success.
