With significant self-financing and support from the Canadian Space Agency, NordSpace is focused on developing its own launch vehicles and spaceport to enhance Canada's sovereign space capabilities.

NordSpace is set to achieve a historic milestone with the launch of its Taiga rocket, marking the first Canadian commercial rocket launch from a Canadian spaceport. The launch follows a postponed attempt in September due to technical issues with the rocket's cryogenic propellants.
Founded in 2022 by PhD candidate Rahul Goel at the University of Toronto, NordSpace is developing several rockets and plans to launch its first satellite, Terra-Nova, in June. The company aims to establish a sustainable commercial business and is focused on addressing Earth-based challenges with its satellite technology.
