The House Appropriations Committee has approved a proposal for $5,542,200 in federal funding for North Alabama's water infrastructure. This includes $4,542,200 for improvements to the City of Moulton's water treatment facility and $1,000,000 for upgrading the Town of Eva's wastewater treatment plant.
The funding is part of the Fiscal Year 2027 appropriations bill, which totals $26.3 billion and encompasses various programs, including agriculture and rural development. The legislation will now proceed to the full U.S.
