North Sea Container Line Launches Weekly Route with Future Ammonia-Powered Yara Eyde
North Sea Container Line (NCL) has initiated a new weekly containership route starting in Rotterdam and visiting Oslo, Brevik, and Bremerhaven. The route will be serviced by the ammonia-powered vessel Yara Eyde later this year, while MV Tunadal currently operates the route. Yara is the primary cargo owner, and the Port of Oslo aims for emission-free operations this year. NCL will provide door-to-door solutions for fertilizer deliveries and has secured a tender from ZEMBA for ammonia fuel deployment along the route.

North Sea Container Line (NCL) has launched a weekly containership route from Rotterdam to Oslo, Brevik, and Bremerhaven, set to be serviced by the ammonia-powered vessel Yara Eyde later this year. Currently, the route is operated by the conventional vessel MV Tunadal.
Yara is the main cargo owner, with the route also open to other industrial customers. The Port of Oslo plans to achieve emission-free operations this year through electrification and renewable energy guarantees. NCL will offer door-to-door solutions for fertilizer deliveries and has won a tender from ZEMBA for ammonia fuel deployment along the route.
