Norwind Offshore Expands Fleet with Acquisition of Six CSOVs
Norwind Offshore has acquired six commissioning service operation vessels, doubling its fleet in a strategic move to enhance capabilities in the offshore wind sector. The vessels, designed for renewable energy support, are equipped with the latest technology and operational features.

Norwind Offshore has finalized the acquisition of six commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs) from Edda Wind, significantly expanding its fleet. This addition, in collaboration with Navigare Capital Partners, positions Norwind to enhance its support for the offshore wind industry.
The newly acquired CSOVs include advanced Vard 4 25 and SALT 0217 designs, built for the global renewable energy sector. Following this deal, Edda Wind will be left with only one service operation vessel (SOV), which is expected to be transferred in Q4 2026. This acquisition aligns with Edda Wind's earlier agreements to divest its fleet, as the company was taken private in June 2025 by a consortium of investors.
