Nostrum to Invest €1 Billion in GUA1 Data Center in Guadalajara
Nostrum Data Centers and IDOM are investing over €1 billion in the GUA1 data center in Guadalajara, expected to create up to 1,000 construction jobs and 60 stable technical positions by 2028. The facility will have 40 MWe power capacity and is designed to serve AI platforms, hyperscalers, and large corporations. Construction starts in 2026, with operational launch anticipated in 2028.

Nostrum Data Centers and IDOM are investing over €1 billion in the GUA1 data center in Guadalajara, which will create between 600 to 1,000 jobs during construction and 60 permanent technical positions by 2028. The TIER III facility will have 40 MWe of power capacity and aims to support AI platforms and large corporations.
The project includes a structural investment of €289 million, with construction scheduled to begin in late 2026 and operational launch expected in 2028. The center will feature advanced energy efficiency measures and aims for BREEAM certification.
