Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc. (NMG) is progressing its Phase-2 Matawinie Mine project, recognized as a Major Project of National Interest by Canada. The company has awarded key construction contracts, which account for over 50% of the project's capital expenditures, pending a positive final investment decision (FID).

Contracts include Pomerleau as Construction Manager and Manawan-Fournier for civil works, emphasizing partnerships with the Atikamekw First Nation of Manawan. NMG is also finalizing an agreement with Metso for essential processing equipment. The project is nearing 80% completion on detailed engineering.
