NRB Bearings Expands into Aerospace and Five New Verticals
NRB Bearings Ltd targets growth by entering aerospace, electrification, robotics, heavy equipment, and mission-critical applications. This strategic pivot aims to leverage existing R&D capabilities while addressing market opportunities totaling approximately $10 billion.

NRB Bearings Ltd is diversifying its operations beyond automotive bearings, identifying six new verticals: aerospace, electrification, robotics, industrial equipment, and mission-critical solutions. The company acquired Mahant Tool Room for ₹27.5 crore to enhance its aerospace capabilities, accessing a market worth $14.5-16.5 billion.
NRB aims to expand its automotive product portfolio to include tapered and ball-bearing wheel hubs and steering systems, while also targeting electrification applications across various vehicle types. This strategy capitalizes on India's auto-component industry's growth, which saw a turnover of ₹7.59 lakh crore in FY26. NRB's focus on advanced manufacturing and computational analysis will support its expansion into these high-tech adjacencies while maintaining financial discipline.
