More than 65% of the investment commitments came from international limited partners, including family offices and strategic investors from the US and the Middle East. The fund intends to support 25-30 companies, primarily through pre-seed and seed investments, while also reserving capital for follow-on rounds.
This initiative reflects a growing interest in India's R&D ecosystem as domestic and international investors seek exposure to emerging technologies. The success of this fund could indicate increased capital flow into early-stage ventures, influencing the overall venture capital landscape in India.
