This funding supports the Net Zero Manufacturing Initiative, part of a $480 million effort to accelerate emissions reductions. Key recipients include Optimal Renewable Gas, receiving $20 million for converting agricultural waste into gas, Hiringa Energy with $9.4 million for low carbon ammonia fertiliser production, Hiringa Refuelling Australia awarded $778,000 for hydrogen refuelling stations, and Tyree Transformers obtaining $22 million to enhance transformer production.
