NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. has awarded a contract to Bondada Engineering Ltd. for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of a 100MWh Vanadium Redox Flow Battery Energy Storage System (VRFB BESS) at Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat. Delectrik Systems Pvt.
Ltd. will serve as the Technology Partner. The project utilizes VRFB technology, noted for its advantages over traditional lithium-ion phosphate battery systems. This move highlights NTPC's commitment to expanding its renewable energy capabilities and investing in innovative energy storage technologies, which may enhance grid stability and efficiency in energy management.
