Retailing for approximately $1,800, this device is currently being tested in a Cambodian study for water virus detection.
The system processes samples in about 10 minutes per liter, addressing DNA degradation issues. Funded by TEDCO's $300,000 grant through the Maryland Innovation Initiative, Nuquantic's technology evolved from a single-pump to a three-pump filtration system.
