Nvidia Begins Production of Rubin Architecture, Partners with Siemens for AI Factory
Nvidia has confirmed the start of mass production for its Vera Rubin architecture, alleviating concerns over product delays. The new AI platform offers up to five times the inference performance of the previous Blackwell generation, with ten times lower costs per token.
It combines a Vera CPU with two Rubin GPUs and is expected to be available in the second half of 2026. Major clients for this datacenter hardware include Microsoft, Google, and Meta. Nvidia is also expanding its partnership with Siemens to develop an 'Industrial AI Operating System,' with the first fully AI-driven factory set to launch in 2026 at Siemens' facility in Erlangen.
Siemens will integrate Nvidia's CUDA-X and PhysicsNeMo platforms to significantly enhance electronic design workflows. Nvidia is also involved in a $20 billion funding round for Elon Musk's xAI, alongside Cisco and Qatar Investment Authority. The company's market capitalization stands at approximately $4.6 trillion.
