NxN to Build 10 Data Centers in Spain and Portugal with €500 Million Investment
NxN Data Centers has begun construction on its first data center in Valencia, investing €60 million as part of a broader plan to develop ten facilities in Spain and Portugal over five years, totaling €500 million. Each center will have capacities between 5 and 10 megawatts and will be located near major cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, and Sevilla.
The first facility, covering 6,500 square meters, is expected to be operational by March 2027, with a second module focused on AI and supercomputing set to follow. The project is backed by InfraRed Capital Partners, which holds a 70% stake in NxN.
The construction is managed by Itercon, which may also build the remaining data centers. NxN's design emphasizes zero water consumption and 100% renewable energy use, aiming to create up to 600 jobs during construction and operation.
