Octopus Energy Acquires 321MW of Onshore Wind Farms Across Europe
Octopus Energy Generation has invested €584 million to acquire 321MW of onshore wind capacity across 17 sites in Europe. This expansion enhances their portfolio to 67 wind farms, addressing Europe's clean energy demands amid rising geopolitical risks.

Octopus Energy Generation has secured 321MW of onshore wind capacity through 17 sites in France, Germany, and Poland, with a total investment of €584 million. In France, the company acquired 143.5MW across 10 sites, expected to supply power to approximately 65,000 homes annually.
In Poland, three operational wind farms contribute 75MW, servicing around 120,000 homes. In Germany, four wind farms with a capacity of 102.5MW have been acquired, including two operational and two under construction. This initiative increases Octopus's total to 67 wind farms across several European countries, signaling a strategic push for renewable energy amid fluctuating gas prices and geopolitical tensions, underscoring the need for energy independence.
