Octopus Energy Acquires Six Wind Projects in France for €584m Investment
Octopus Energy Generation has acquired a portfolio of six onshore wind projects in France, totaling 88 MW. This acquisition is part of a broader €584m investment plan targeting 321 MW across multiple European sites.

Octopus Energy Generation has completed the acquisition of six French onshore wind projects with an installed capacity of 88 MW from Impax Asset Management. This transaction is integral to Octopus' €584m investment strategy in the European wind energy sector, aiming for 321 MW across France, Germany, and Poland.
Headquartered in the UK, Octopus manages a £8.5bn renewables portfolio, which includes electric vehicle leasing, heat pumps, and solar projects in 27 countries. With about 400 MW of onshore wind projects in France, Octopus continues to expand its renewable energy assets.
The transaction was advised by Watson Farley & Williams, with a team led by Laurent Battoue and supported by multiple associates providing both project and corporate/M&A expertise. This acquisition positions Octopus to enhance its market presence in the European renewable energy landscape.
