Odata Secures Access to Transmission Network Amid Regulatory Changes
Odata has obtained a judicial order from Aneel to maintain access priority for its data centers in Brazil. This action follows the implementation of Pnast, which altered access processing protocols, impacting future capacity guarantees.

Odata has successfully secured a precautionary measure from the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) to preserve its access priority and capacity reservation for data center projects in Brazil, particularly in São Paulo. This action is crucial as it follows the introduction of Decree No. 12,777/2025, which modified the access processing order for the National Electric System Operator (ONS) and removed previous guarantees for future access.
Odata plans expansions between 2025 and 2028, having already obtained access approvals from the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME). The company aims to review these access approvals in 2026, as the Pnast impacts projects in advanced stages of development.
