Odisha Government Discovers Diamonds, Gold, and Ruby Across Multiple Districts
The Odisha government has announced the discovery of diamond-bearing stones in Nuapada district, along with ruby deposits in Kalahandi and various metallic minerals in Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar districts. Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena stated that detailed feasibility assessments are underway to evaluate the commercial potential of these findings.

The Odisha government has identified diamond-bearing stones in Nuapada district, as reported by Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena. Feasibility assessments are in progress to evaluate mining viability.
Additionally, ruby traces have been found in Kalahandi district, specifically in the Hinjilibahal-Jilingibar area. In Deogarh district, multiple minerals, including copper, graphite, nickel, and gold, have been detected.
Gold deposits have also been reported in Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts. These discoveries may enhance Odisha's mineral resource base and boost economic activities.
