OERC Schedules Public Hearings for Electricity Tariffs 2026-27 from February 2-21 in Odisha
The Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC) will conduct public hearings from February 2 to 21, 2026, to assess electricity tariffs. The first hearing is on February 2 at Gita Gobinda Sadan, Bhubaneswar, regarding GRIDCO's bulk power tariff application.
Subsequent hearings include proposals from Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (OPTCL) on February 3 and Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPCODL) on February 4. Notably, former chief secretary Bijay Kumar Patnaik will present objections to the TPCODL proposal.
On February 5, the OERC will address Odisha Power Generation Corporation's tariff application for the IB Thermal Power Station. Additional hearings will cover Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC) on February 6 and Tata Power Northern Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPNODL) on February 17. The last hearing will be on February 21 for TPSODL in Chhatrapur, Ganjam.
