Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E) has filed a lawsuit against Lambda Crypto LLC, seeking $757,642 for unpaid electricity bills. The lawsuit discloses that the crypto mining data center incurred over $6,000 in daily electric charges.
In 2025, Lambda Crypto's monthly electricity usage was between 5.5 million and 7.3 million kWh, significantly higher than the average residential use of 900 kWh. Oklahoma lawmakers are discussing regulations for data centers due to their impact on electricity prices and water usage. The case is pending in Oklahoma County District Court, with Lambda Crypto's owner, Paul Marusich, unavailable for comment.
