Ohk Energy Delivers Ireland's Largest Onsite Renewable Energy System for Dexcom in Galway
ENERGY STORAGE
Ohk Energy has delivered a major renewable energy project for Dexcom in Athenry, Galway, featuring an 11.25 MW onsite power system. This system combines 1.25 MW of solar PV, a 6 MW battery storage, and 4 MW of HVO-fuelled backup generation.
It is designed to supply approximately 30% of Dexcom's daytime electricity needs while ensuring operational continuity during grid outages. The project marks a significant investment in Ireland's renewable infrastructure and is expected to set new standards for industrial resilience. The full system is scheduled to become operational in July 2026.
