Ohk Energy Delivers Ireland's Largest Onsite Renewable Energy System for Dexcom in Galway
Ohk Energy has completed a significant renewable energy project for Dexcom in Athenry, Galway. The system, integrating solar PV, battery storage, and biofuel generators, represents a multi-million-euro investment. It aims to supply 30% of Dexcom's daytime electricity demand and ensure operational continuity during grid outages. The project, set to go live in July 2026, will bolster Ireland's climate targets and enhance industrial resilience.

Ohk Energy has delivered a major renewable energy project for Dexcom in Athenry, Galway, featuring an 11.25 MW onsite power system. This system combines 1.25 MW of solar PV, a 6 MW battery storage, and 4 MW of HVO-fuelled backup generation.
It is designed to supply approximately 30% of Dexcom's daytime electricity needs while ensuring operational continuity during grid outages. The project marks a significant investment in Ireland's renewable infrastructure and is expected to set new standards for industrial resilience. The full system is scheduled to become operational in July 2026.
