Oman Signs Mining Concession for Manganese Exploration in North Al Sharqiyah
Oman's Ministry of Energy and Minerals signed a mining concession agreement with Manganese Majan Company for exploration in Concession Area No. (25 B). This initiative is aligned with Oman Vision 2040 to optimize natural resource utilization and enhance the minerals sector.

The Omani government has granted Manganese Majan Company exploration and mining rights for Concession Area No. (25 B), covering approximately 747 square kilometers in North Al Sharqiyah. The agreement, signed by Minister Eng.
Salim Nasser Al Aufi and CEO Mustafa Salim Al Azri, includes a two to three-year exploration program with an investment exceeding OMR1.5 million. This program will involve topographical, geochemical, and geophysical surveys, geological mapping of 90% of the area, and drilling operations covering 50% to 70% of the concession. The geological diversity of the area indicates potential for manganese and associated minerals.
