OMC Power has commissioned a distributed renewable energy-based UPS solution in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, utilizing repurposed EV batteries for stationary storage. This marks Honda's first operational milestone in India's distributed power solutions sector, following their strategic partnership announced in October 2025.

The UPS system is designed for areas with unreliable grid power and aims to provide uninterrupted, low-emission electricity. The project supports sectors such as telecom and healthcare and is expected to enhance OMC Power's decentralized clean energy roadmap targeting 1 GWp. It also aligns with India's Net Zero 2070 commitments and principles of the circular economy.
