OMC Power has launched a distributed renewable energy-based UPS solution in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, utilizing repurposed electric vehicle batteries. This project marks Honda's entry into India's distributed power sector and is the first full-scale implementation of their strategic partnership. The initiative aims to provide reliable, low-emission electricity in areas with unstable grid power, supporting various sectors including telecom and healthcare. This move aligns with India's clean energy goals and enhances OMC Power's 1 GWp decentralized energy roadmap.

The UPS system is designed for areas with unreliable grid power and aims to provide uninterrupted, low-emission electricity. The project supports sectors such as telecom and healthcare and is expected to enhance OMC Power's decentralized clean energy roadmap targeting 1 GWp. It also aligns with India's Net Zero 2070 commitments and principles of the circular economy.
