OMRON Launches G9KD DC Relays for High-Voltage Energy Storage and EV Charging Applications
OMRON Electronic Components Europe has introduced the G9KD series, high-current DC relays designed for safety isolation in energy-storage systems and electric vehicle fast chargers. These relays handle a make current of 100A and a carry/break current of 150A at 1500V, enabling compact designs and enhanced reliability. The G9KD relays facilitate dynamic charging adjustments in EV chargers, contributing to improved charging times and energy efficiency.

OMRON Electronic Components Europe has launched the G9KD series of PCB-mount relays for high-voltage energy-storage systems and electric-vehicle fast chargers. These relays manage 150A carry/break current at 1500V, replacing traditional contactors to enhance PCB integration and reliability.
They support dynamic charging adjustments, improving convenience and reducing wait times for EV users. The G9KD relays measure 60.5mm x 43.5mm x 56.5mm, allowing for compact equipment designs, with an initial contact resistance of less than 4mΩ to minimize energy loss.
