OMV Petrom is enhancing its Petrobrazi refinery's green-hydrogen production capacity to 55 MW with a new 35 MW electrolyser. The project, funded by EUR 29 million from Romania's National Recovery and Resilience Plan, will enable the production of approximately 4,700 tonnes of green hydrogen annually to support the construction of a 250,000-ton-per-year SAF/HVO unit.
The total installed capacity across two projects will reach 55 MW, with an estimated annual output of 8,000 tonnes.
