OMV Petrom is set to build a 7 MW solar park at its Petrobrazi refinery, covering about 110,000 square meters. The project has a budget of up to RON 45.4 million, with RON 8.4 million funded by the Modernisation Fund.

Construction will begin shortly and is expected to be completed within the year. The solar park will help meet part of the refinery's power demand with renewable energy. This project complements OMV Petrom's ongoing construction of a sustainable fuels unit at Petrobrazi, which will include two hydrogen units for green hydrogen production.
