ON.energy has completed the construction of its AI UPS™, a medium-voltage uninterruptible power system, at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) in Boulder, Colorado. The collaboration will test the system's performance for AI data centers under various grid conditions.

NLR will simulate AI data center power profiles and validate the AI UPS's ability to stabilize loads and support the electric grid. This deployment is aimed at addressing the challenges posed by rapid GPU workload spikes and increasing power demands in AI environments. The project was completed in under six months, marking a significant advancement in grid-safe AI technology.
