ONGC Funds AI Labs and Digital Libraries at Colleges and High Schools in Eluru District
The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has established Artificial Intelligence labs and digital libraries at seven colleges and four high schools in Eluru district, investing ₹2.50 crore under its Corporate Social Responsibility program. The initiative, inaugurated by district collector K. Vetri Selvi, aims to enhance educational infrastructure and meet the growing demand for AI and Machine Learning courses, ultimately creating employment opportunities for local youth.

Artificial Intelligence computer labs and digital libraries have been established at seven colleges and four high schools in Eluru district, funded by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) at a cost of ₹2.50 crore under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The facilities were inaugurated at the Government Degree College, Eluru, by district collector K.
Vetri Selvi and local politicians. The initiative aims to enhance educational infrastructure, focusing on the increasing demand for AI and Machine Learning courses in the IT sector. The Chief Minister's efforts for strengthening educational facilities are expected to generate significant employment opportunities for youth, alongside plans for a quantum computing center.
District Collector K. Vetri Selvi emphasized the importance of computer education for students to succeed in the IT-dominated job market.
