OpenMetal Helps RamNode Reduce Infrastructure Costs by 70% with Modern Bare Metal Servers in the Netherlands

DATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

OpenMetal announced that RamNode has modernized its Netherlands data center operations using OpenMetal's bare metal platform, achieving a 70% reduction in costs and a sixteenfold increase in virtual machine density. RamNode transitioned from nearly 40 aging servers to eight high-performance OpenMetal servers in Amsterdam, utilizing dual Intel Xeon Gold processors, 512GB DDR5 RAM, and 6.4TB NVMe Gen4 storage.

This upgrade has enabled high I/O throughput and consistent performance while supporting future growth without additional hardware. The migration was seamless, with no changes to RamNode's orchestration systems or customer provisioning processes. Following this success, RamNode is considering expanding to additional OpenMetal locations, including Singapore.
