Operational Launch of Europe's Largest Solar Plant in Ceuta
Ceuta's new solar plant enhances energy supply and supports local electric vehicle infrastructure, marking a significant economic shift.

Ceuta's photovoltaic plant, the largest of its kind in Europe, is now operational, featuring over 5,000 solar panels. This facility generates energy to power various electric vehicle charging points, including a new tourist bus.
Avangreen's establishment in Ceuta in 2021 included commitments that this project fulfills. Additionally, a data center is expected to launch before the end of summer 2026, further advancing the city's economic transformation strategy. The solar plant's inauguration involved local government officials and representatives from key organizations, underscoring its importance for future developments in Ceuta's energy landscape.
