ORIENTATE Project Launches to Valorise Agricultural Waste in the Mediterranean
The ORIENTATE project kick-off meeting attracted over 110 participants, focusing on agricultural waste valorisation in the Mediterranean. It aims to convert citrus and olive waste into bio-products, addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable value chains. The initiative will engage over 400 stakeholders to improve resource efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The ORIENTATE project officially launched with over 110 participants, highlighting strong national and international engagement. It aims to valorise agricultural waste, specifically citrus and olive by-products, to tackle environmental issues in the Mediterranean region.
The project will facilitate technology transfer, pilot testing, training, and scaling-up activities, involving over 400 stakeholders. The focus is on enhancing resource efficiency, decreasing environmental impacts, and creating green economic opportunities through innovative circular economy practices.
