ENERGY STORAGE

Ormat Technologies Inc. has commenced commercial operations for the Arrowleaf solar and battery energy storage project in California, marking its first hybrid solar-plus-storage facility. The project has an energy generation capacity of approximately 42 megawatts (MW) and includes 35 MW/140 megawatt-hours (MWh) of storage.

Arrowleaf operates under a long-term agreement with San Diego Community Power, supplying renewable electricity to nearly one million customers. The project was financed through a hybrid tax equity partnership with Morgan Stanley Renewables Inc., yielding approximately $38 million in upfront investment tax credits. This initiative contributes to Ormat's total operating renewable energy portfolio of around 1.7 gigawatts and is expected to enhance the company's financial position, supporting its growth objectives for 2026 and beyond.
